Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple
One Kadigai is 24 minutes. It is believed that if one remains in Sholingur for one kadigai he/she will attain Mukthi or Motsham. Kadigachalam (kadigai +Achalam meaning mountain) is the original name of Cholasingapurm which later became Sholingapuram or Sholingur.
The name Kadigachalam came as the Lord gave darsan to the Saptharishi to a kadigai time and gave mukthi. He also gave darsan to Prahalatha by changing his figure of Terror and in the yoga stage. Lord Anjeneya who is in the yoga stage helped Indrathymna Maharaja in killing the Arakkan Nikumban and saved his country.
Sri Yoga Anjaneyar Temple
Anjaneyar in this Hill Temple has four arms (Chatusbuja) with Sankam and Chakram in two arms. Here Hamuman is known as Yoga Anjaneya. HE is seated in a yogic posture with a Japa Mala and Japa Sanka in the other two arms and meditating upon Lord Narasimha. Lord Rama Patabishekam is engraved on His Kreedam (crown). He protects devotees and grants them various boons. Nowhere else in India Lord Anjaneya is seen with Sankam and Chakram given by Lord Narasimha Himself to protect the devotees. Hence, a visit to this temple will definitely ensure devotees a prosperous and peaceful life.
There is a small opening on the wall of the Periya Malai Koil through which it is said that Yoga Anjaneya, from his place in Chinna Malai, has darshan of Lord Narasimha.
